Kano Literacy and Mathematics Accelerator
I was the head trainer and lead materials developer of KaLMA, a large-scale programme whihc built foundational Maths, Hausa and English literacy skills across northern Nigeria.
The KaLMA programme is rooted in 'teaching at the right level' evidence and approach, which involves assessing children on foundational skills and grouping them by learning level rather than age or grade level. The programme was co-developed and implemented with the support of the local and national ministry of education. Below are a series of videos which explain the programme further.
