CUP Webinar: Embedding critical thinking and other 21st century skills into classroom practice

Updated: Oct 1, 2019

Abstract:

Although ‘critical thinking’ and ‘21st century skills’ are terms which are commonly used in educational establishments across the world, how often do we actually apply them in our own classrooms? In many respects, English language teaching is still rooted in the 20th Century, and we are not preparing our students for the workplace and society of the future. Referring to Cambridge University Press material and research around Unlock and the Cambridge Life Competencies Framework, this webinar will look at how learners can develop their skills in areas such as collaboration, social awareness, emotional development, learning to learn and creativity whilst simultaneously improving their English language abilities.
